Here is a blog that I want to share. One of my teaching partners shared this with me and we are experimenting with this. We are not doing it exactly like this teacher but may be getting there. This is an amazing approach to meeting the needs of all learners! Let me know what you all think. This allows for the special education teacher to work in the general education classroom and meet the needs of all learners!

Thanks for finding a post about teaching math with a core lesson for all and then allowing for individual teaching to small groups of students at their level of understanding. It took awhile to realize the value and passion of teaching math in such a creative way, but as with reading math needs the same attention to get the job done right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such an awesome math blog.
I think this would work great with any grade level. Really seems to allow you to meet the needs of all learners and to ensure all students are getting the content. Something I would definitely like to try.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I really like the idea of working with small groups of students to address individual needs of students.
